General Overview

What is Aurora Vision APIs?

Aurora Vision APIs is the RESTful Cloud-APIs service, made available through the Aurora Vision cloud, that provides access to multiple suites of calls in order to obtain data and information related to FIMER photovoltaic solar plants.

In order to be able to take advantage of the APIs calls made available, FIMER photovoltaic solar plants (with all supported devices ) must be correctly registered on Aurora Vision: a plant entity is required to allows subsequently registration of an inverter entity so as to be able to generate their respective EntityIDs, which are numerical sequences that uniquely identify a certain asset within Aurora Vision.

How to access Aurora Vision APIs?

Access to the service is quick and easy, you just need:

  • An Aurora Vision account correctly validated (the APIs service does not look at the privilege role of your Aurora Vision account) and with the EULA accepted;
  • An X-AuroraVision-ApiKey which, together with your account credentials, allows you to authenticate yourself to the service and thus obtain an X-AuroraVision-Token (cloud token) to be used as header of all calls.

The Aurora Vision account can be created independently and during the creation process includes validation.
The EULA can be accepted upon the first log-in to Aurora Vision, through the use of products or web applications, or through the APIs.
The X-AuroraVision-ApiKey can be obtained by opening a request to FIMER Customer Service (please check the Contacts page ).

NOTE: in order for FIMER Customer Support to issue a valid X-AuroraVision-ApiKey, you will need to register or be associated with at least one plant asset in Aurora Vision.
